FS Walker Hughes, today announced it has earned Certified Partner status in the Microsoft Partner Program, which recognizes FS Walker Hughes’s expertise and impact in the technology marketplace.
As a Certified Partner, FS Walker Hughes has demonstrated expertise with Microsoft technologies and proven ability to meet customer needs. Microsoft Certified Partners receive a rich set of benefits, including access, training and support, giving them a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

As one of the requirements for earning Certified Partner status, FS Walker Hughes has declared a Microsoft Competency. Microsoft Competencies are designed to help differentiate a partner’s capabilities with specific Microsoft technologies to customers looking for a particular type of solution. Each competency has a unique set of requirements and benefits, formulated to accurately represent the specific skills and services that partners bring to the technology industry.
The ISV/Software Solutions Competency recognizes the skill and focus partners bring to a particular solution set.
Microsoft Gold Certified Partners that have obtained this competency have a successful record of developing and marketing packed software based on Microsoft technologies.

September 09 - Mission to China with British Aviation Group proves fruitful and kick-starts our campaign in this market.
FS Walker Hughes has recently returned from a series of successful visits to airports in China and Hong Kong. In conjunction with British Airports Group (BAG), FS Walker Hughes was invited by a number of Airport Authorities to present and advise on future airport technologies and also to report on the successes of clients who benefit from the Chroma Airport Suite product set.
FS Walker Hughes would like to thank British Aviation Group along with the airport Authorities of Beijing, Chongqing, Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
China is seeing increasing demand for Air Travel from both its domestic and international sectors despite the current economic backdrop and is one of the few areas in the world that is seeing and increase in traffic volume.

Cork Go Live with New Chroma Module

Daresbury, UK, July’09 – FS Walker Hughes today announced the Go Live of a new Chroma airport suite module at Cork airport Ireland. The new module is part of the Chroma Assign Resource Management System and enables the Airport to readily manage and allocate their InBound Baggage Carousels.
Chroma’s key features include a flexible central operational management system, sophisticated flight information display system, resource allocation system to accurately assign stands, gates, check-in desks and baggage belts and a highly developed reporting capability.

BRS Module Here - Chroma Direct

FS Walker Hughes is delighted to announce the successful implementation of the Baggage Reconciliation System (BRS) at Manchester Airport. The BRS module is part of the Chroma suite of modules called ChromaTM Direct. The new BRS system was delivered on time and within budget and went live on the 16th November 2009 in Terminal 2. ChromaTM Direct has now been successfully implemented, using a phased approach, across all terminals at Manchester Airport by the 7th December 2009.
Customer Quote - "The new CHROMA Baggage Reconciliation System (BRS) at Manchester Airport has been well received by our baggage handler user community. CHROMA BRS is in permanent operation and has over 200 fixed scanning points across the 3 Terminals at the Manchester site.
This system has been delivered by a very successful project enabled by an excellent, collaborative project team made up of FS Walker Hughes and Manchester Airport staff. The team achieved an on time and on budget delivery as well as a very smooth implementation in to a critical part of the baggage operation.
The strategic adoption of BRS, as part of the CHROMA Airport Suite, has simplified Manchester Airport's IT infrastructure and support model."

Sep 09 - System has now successfully passed Factory Acceptance Testing and is now moving forward to final Acceptance testing and Go Live on Schedule.
Aug 09 - Development is now complete and the project has moved into it's testing phase with the client. Rollout and go live is on track and scheduled for October 09.
July 09 - Design and Analysis is now complete and the system is moving into its development phase. The project is well on track to meet the anticipated release date.
