Cork welcomed as latest Chroma Airport Suite Customer

Daresbury, UK, November’08 – FS Walker Hughes today announced the Go Live of its Chroma airport suite technology at Cork airport Ireland. The system will greatly enhance Cork’s day to day operations and ensure accurate billing to its airline partners. Chroma’s key features include a flexible central operational management system, sophisticated flight information display system, resource allocation system to accurately assign stands, gates, check-in desks and baggage belts and a highly developed reporting capability. Speaking on behalf of Dublin Airport Authority, Gerry Luttrell who is Head of Shared Services said “Dublin Airport Authority is very pleased with the way that the implementation of the Airport Operations Management System was dealt with by FS Walker Hughes at both Shannon & Cork Airports who are part of the DAA group. A tight delivery schedule was achieved in each case with no disruption to ongoing operations. DAA found the FS Walker Hughes team to be professional, flexible and responsive at all times.” Sheila Murphy assistant general manager and a member of the senior management team at Cork said, “Cork Airport is delighted with the implementation of the FS Walker Hughes Operations Management System. The system provides automated interfaces with many systems including airline and handling agent system, SITA messaging, airline schedules and radar These interfaces allows for a seamless flow of live information which will lead to an improvement in the operation of the airport. It also helps provide up to date information to the airports passengers.
