FS Walker Hughes are pleased to announce that Shannon Airport has just gone live with our new Chroma operations and mangement system. Delivered on time and to budget the new system provides a modern and efficient basis for managing day to day operations at the airport and subsequent billing of airlines for the services provided. Key features include: - Integrated Flight Information Displays - Automated Stand and Gate allocation and planning - Automation of data feeds (ACL, Air Traffic Control etc) - Passenger and boarding pass reconcilliation and verification - Integration of airport billing with DAA Oracle Financial system - End User Reporting The system which replaces the previous FIS system is supplied by FS Walker Hughes and is in use at a number of other airports such as Manchester, Liverpool and Luton. The successful implementation is the culmination of 9 months combined effort between dedicated DAA and FS Walker Hughes teams. Martin Moroney (Director Shannon Airport) has welcomed the new system saying "this solution captures required data such as SITA messages, airline schedules, air traffic control information etc. via modern automated feeds & validates, processes & reports that data efficiently. This level of automation makes our overall processes more efficient and ultimately helps to improve the smooth operation of the airport. It also enables us to provide better information to our customers. I congratulate the Project team, Business Systems staff and all staff involved for completing an excellent job and delivering a successful outcome." The next phase of the project will see the new system independently installed and operational at Cork Airport by November 2008. |
